The Collection Art Show was put on by Mikey Ennen in association with Justin Cornett from NW Scion Events. The marketing team from Scion was impressed by Mikey’s artwork and encouraged him to organize and design a unique forum for showing it to the public. Mikey called up some friends like Norman Roque, Son Duong, Joe Tetrick, Joey Meddock, Chad Swanson, RA Scion aka Viktor Shade from Common Market, and the Innate crew to get together ideas for what would become The Collection Art Show.
The plan was to take to tour to three Northwest cities: Bellingham, Seattle, and Portland. The crew set up shop for 2 days in each location to sell and display art, paint a car that started as a blank canvas, play music, and have a great time. The event brought out spectators of every age group to see what all the hype was about. The crowd seemed to enjoy watching their new favorite artists’ work get custom screenprinted by Innate. Epic beats, rhymes, and sounds from Common Market rocked the masses at EVO Seattle and Disjecta in Portland.
The Funner Video team of Nick Ennen and Jeremy Dubs followed the tour from city to city to create a three part mini-documentary of The Collection Art Show. We used the Vholdr Contour HD headcams, the Panasonic HPX170, and the Panasonic HVX200a to film the clips.
